Oy-Mittelberg is located at an altitude of about 1000 meters in the Oberallgäu, easily accessible via the motorway from Ulm to Füssen. Oy is a Kneipp and air health resort and the centre of the town - tradition and modernity go hand in hand here. The location like painted: In the south the Säuling, the Alpspitz, the Zugspitze and the Grünten. The Grüntensee and the Rottachsee as well as small moor ponds are scattered among the pretty settlements.

Numerous bicycle tours and hikes, such as the Panoramaweg or the spiritual path "Auf seiner Spur", invite you to enjoy the outdoors and bathing places for swimming, rowing and stand-up paddling. The oldest pilgrimage church of the Allgäu in Maria Rain is worth seeing.
